Lucusescenza is an ethnomusicological audiovisual research on the Satriano Carnival.

The title refers to a neologism coined by Carlos Hevia Riera, which indicates the sensation you get when a sacred place where your memories live disappears.

«Lucus» in Latin means sacred forest, and is also at the root of the word Lucania.

Lucusescenza wants to tell of a reality that risks disappearing, and which must be protected and told without ego, so that the land and the villages forgive us for having abandoned them, but which does not ask to be mourned, rather lived still brought to light. Lucania is also Leukòs, land of Light. Here rises the dawn of a new era.
